Molokheya with Rice

 Molokheya with Rice


200 grams of green Molokhiya leaves 

500 grams of chicken 

1 cup of peeled and chopped garlic 

1 cup of cut coriander  

Green pepper 

Vegetable oil or ghee 


Chicken stock 

½ cup of lemon juice 


1 cup of vermicelli 

Vegetable oil 

2 cups of basmati 


Green Coriander, White Vinegar, spicy garlic and salt.

Method of Preparation


Stir the vermicelli with ghee till they become gold colored. Add the rice and salt, mix, and then add 3 cups of water. Cover after boil and leave on low heat for 15 minutes. 

Pour the Molokhiya in a dish and the rice in another. Serve the sauce aside. 


Wash the leaves well and get rid of the thin ones. 

Stir in ghee or oil and leave them over heat. Meanwhile melt the garlic with coriander. 

In a cooker, put the chicken and boil spices in water. Leave the chicken to get cooked.  

Over heat, put the chicken stock with the fried Molokhiya, chicken, garlic, coriander, and green pepper. Let them on fire for 1 hour.

After boil, add the lemon and turn off the heat.
