Yellow Rice with Pears and Vegetables


 500g Rice

50g Chopped carrots

100g Chopped pears

50g Chopped green peppers

50g Chopped tomatoes

50g Chopped celery rave

50g Onions

Pinch of Turmeric or saffron

10g Coarse salt

1200g Water


Method of preparation

Thinly slice the onions.

Heat the oil in a cooker.

Sauté the onions on a low to medium flame.

Add the Turmeric or the saffron to get a nice yellow color.

Add the rice , gently stir it.

Add the hot water.

Season with coarse slat, Stir well and let it cook for 15 to 20 min.

5min before the rice is cooked add the chopped veggies and gently mix them with the rice.
